The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Guangdong Medical University Women and Children's Hospital were originated form the hospital anesthesia, surgery group. In 2004,Our department was formally established as an independent clinical department, Dr.Lin Xiangyi has became the first director of anesthesiology and Rn.Li Wanli has became the first operating room matron. Under the leadership of the director and the matron,We continue to grow in the next 13 years ,fruitful results have been achieved in clinical, scientific research, teaching and other fields by the domestic advanced level.

The staff members of our department are 28,different levels of physicians and nurses work together perfectly.The centre O.R has 8 fully functional operation room and with 4 outdoor anesthesia locations,including the painless gastrointestinaloscopy and bronchoscopy therapy, painless eggs and embryo transfer, painless artificial abortion and hysteroscopy therapy,pediatric daytime operating room.We are able to carring out a variety of surgery and painless treatmentout from the birth of less than 1 hour of newborns to centenarians,more than 5,000 cases of anesthesia and operation and more than 6,000 cases of painless therapy have been delivered annualy.
